Yoga Session on 02/01/2024
The Inaugural Day of the New Year dawned with a sense of renewal and promise, marked by a refreshing yoga session arranged by VISMT for students from different disciplines. Students embraced the opportunity to embark on a journey of wellness and self-care as they welcomed the New Year with open hearts and a commitment to holistic health. The yoga session served as a powerful catalyst, allowing students to commence the New Year with mindfulness, gratitude, and a commitment to self-care. It set a precedent for embracing wellness practices and holistic health throughout the year. As we embark on this new chapter, may the spirit of this yoga session resonate within us, guiding our intentions and actions toward a year filled with peace, joy, and well-being.
2 Days Workshop on Financial Literacy for Youth
The two-day workshop on “Financial Literacy for Youth Program- was organized by Vidyadayini Institute of Science Management and Technology, Bhopal, in collaboration with NISM (National Institute for Security Markets) created by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) under the ministry of finance, Government of India, started on 20th December and concluded on 21st December 2023. The objective of this program was to inculcate the habit of saving and investment among youth and also to prepare them for career opportunities in the field of financial services. The program started with the welcome address by Ms. Sarita Chouhan, HOD, Department of Commerce where she welcomed the guest and speaker of the workshop Ms. Shruti Gupta and also briefed the schedule for the two-day workshop. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Ms. Kajal Yadav Assistant professor, Department of Commerce where she explained Financial Literacy for Youth (FLY) and said that Financial Literacy for Youth (FLY) is a Non-Profit organization that offers free services to teach youth about credit, budgeting, scholarships, saving money, the importance of life insurance, how to start a business and how to volunteer with their time and talent. The speaker of the session Shruti Gupta explained about financial markets and explained the concept of investment and its importance in our day-to-day life. She explained how one should adopt appropriate precautions before making any investments and also explained about mutual funds. She further explained the various objectives of financial education. The speaker of the workshop also detailed about SEBI and various career opportunities in securities markets. Students of the College interacted with the speaker of the session at the end of the workshop and also took part in a question-answer session in the two-day-long workshop.
Internship Program on 20/11/23
Vidyadayini Institute of Science Management and Technology, Bhopal organized a Job Oriented Internship Training Program for students of BCom, BSc, BCA and BA from 20th Nov. 2023 to 11th Dec. 2023. By partaking in an internship, students will be able to gain real-life exposure, grow their knowledge and determine if they are in the right career field. Internships not only provide them with first-hand experience in the real working world but also enable them to understand the career trajectory for their desired job title. On 20th November 2023, Dr. Anita Mishra, Principal VISMT, began the Internship Program by lamp Lighting.
Diwali celebration on 09/11/23
The Diwali celebration at VISMT was made even more vibrant and colorful with the rangoli, mehendi, and diya decoration competition organized by the Cultural Committee. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing their creativity and artistic skills. The rangoli competition was a sight to behold, with students creating intricate and beautiful designs using colored powders, flowers, and diyas. Each design was unique, reflecting the individuality and creativity of the participants. The mehendi competition saw students applying intricate henna designs on their hands and feet, showcasing traditional and contemporary patterns with finesse. The participants displayed remarkable skill and artistry, creating stunning mehendi designs. The diya decoration competition added a festive touch to the event, with students decorating earthen lamps with paints, glitter, and other embellishments. The diyas were transformed into works of art, radiating warmth and beauty. The judges had a tough time selecting the winners, given the high quality of entries in all three competitions. After much deliberation, the winners were announced, and prizes were distributed to the deserving participants. Overall, the rangoli, mehendi, and diya decoration competition added a lot of color, creativity, and festive spirit to the Diwali celebration at VISMT. It provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and creativity while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of India.
Garba Night on 21-10-23
The Garba Night celebration at VISMT was a lively and colorful event, held in honor of Navratri, the nine-day festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga. The event took place in the college campus and was attended by students, faculty, and staff, dressed in traditional attire. The Garba Night celebration was a memorable event that brought together the college community in a spirit of joy and celebration, fostering a sense of cultural pride and camaraderie among all participants.
Ganesh Chaturthi, Maha Bhog & Visarjan on 27-09-23
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Vismt College was a vibrant and festive occasion, marked by traditional rituals and cultural fervor. The college organized a special puja ceremony to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings, followed by the installation of an idol of Lord Ganesha in a beautifully decorated pandal. The highlight of the celebration was the Maha Bhog, a grand feast prepared as an offering to Lord Ganesha. The Maha Bhog included a variety of delicious dishes and sweets, symbolizing the spirit of sharing and community bonding. After the Maha Bhog, aarti was performed to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings, followed by cultural programs showcasing music, dance, and skits based on Lord Ganesha’s stories and teachings. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and enthusiasm, as students and faculty came together to celebrate the auspicious occasion. The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration culminated with the Visarjan, or immersion of the idol, in a nearby water body. The Visarjan procession was a colorful and lively affair, with students and faculty singing bhajans and dancing to the beats of traditional drums. Overall, the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at Vismt College was a joyous and spiritually uplifting event, fostering a sense of community and devotion among all participants.
Orientation Progam “Abhivadan” & “Genesis 2K23” For New Batch 2023-24 on 12-09-23
On September 12, 2023, the Vidyadayini Institute of Science, Management, and Technology and Law College conducted its tradition of hosting an extravagant orientation program identified as Abhivadan & Genesis 2K23 for the new batch of law, commerce, science, arts, management, library science, education, and social work. The dignitaries lit the lamp to officially start the event, highlighting the VISMT vision, mission and basic principles in the process. The students of BALLB third-year Ms. Ashwini Dubey and Ms. Nainsi Sen performed a welcome dance. Respected Dr. Arun Kumar Shrivastava, Director of Medical Education for Madhya Pradesh, and Dr. Kishore Shinde, Bioinformatics Officer at Barkatullah University in Bhopal, were present as Chief Guest for the Orientation Programme. Our honorable chairman Mr. D. Subodh Singh, in his welcome speech, emphasized the rich history of the NRI Group and informed the audience of NRI’s dedication to providing its students with a complete and qualitative education. He discussed the 3D Formula—Dedication, Discipline, and Determination—as the key to success in life. In addition to congratulating and welcoming all of the first-year batch to the NRI family, Dr. Anita Mishra, Principal of VISMT, welcomed all dignitaries present both on and off the dais and gave a description of the founding and establishment of VISMT. Dr. Mukesh Shukla, Vice Principal-VISMT-Law in his captivating speech reinstated the majesty and glory of the legal profession. He expressed his gratitude to the students for joining the NRI Group. The occasion was a great success. The proceedings were overseen by Ms. Vaishali Saxena, Assistant Professor of Law, and the vote of appreciation was put forth by Ms. Sarita Chouhan, Head of the Department of Commerce.
Janmashtami Celebration on 06/09/23
On the auspicious occasion of Shree Krishna Janmashtami (September 6, 2023), VIDYADAYINI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, BHOPAL organized the MATKI FOD and DANCE Competition. The program was honored by the presence of our Chief Guests Mr. D. Subodh Singh (Chairman NRI Group) and Ms. Jayshree Singh (Chairperson NRI Group). The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Anita Mishra (Principal, VISMT) and Dr. Mukesh Shukla (Vice Principal – VISMT). The host for the program was Ms. Sarita Chouhan (HOD, Commerce), her Excellency and wonderful anchoring and hard work of all the staff of VISMT made the event a success. VISMT won 2nd Prize in the Matki Phod Competition. The enthusiasm and Participation of students made this event more Joyful and Entertaining. The program ended with a vote of thanks and a prize distribution ceremony.
Teachers Day Celebration on 05/09/23
Students of Vidyadayini Institute of Science Management and Technology Bhopal organized a Teacher’s Day Celebration for all the Teachers of VISMT. The event was graced with the presence of Dr. Anita Mishra (Principal VISMT) and all the staff of VISMT. The program began with the warm welcome of Principal Ma’am and all the teachers followed by beautiful performances by the students and games dedicated to teachers and ended with a vote of thanks and a cake-cutting ceremony.
77th Independence Day Celebration
The Independence Day celebration at VISMT was a patriotic and memorable event, commemorating India’s freedom struggle and the country’s independence. The event took place in the college campus and was attended by students, faculty, and staff. The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem and patriotic songs. Students also presented cultural performances, including dances, songs, and skits, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture and heritage. Speeches highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the sacrifices made by freedom fighters were delivered, inspiring the audience with a sense of pride and patriotism. The event also included various competitions and activities related to the theme of independence and freedom. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets and a sense of unity and pride among all participants. Holi Celebration on 07/03/23
The Holi celebration at VISMT was a colorful and joyous affair, bringing together students and faculty in a festive spirit of unity and merriment. The event took place in the college campus and featured traditional Holi rituals such as the smearing of colors, water balloons, and playful exchanges of greetings. Students dressed in colorful attire added to the festive ambiance, with music and dance performances adding to the liveliness of the occasion. The college also organized a variety of cultural activities, including traditional Holi songs, skits, and games, creating a fun-filled atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. The celebration highlighted the cultural significance of Holi, promoting harmony and togetherness among the college community. It was a memorable event that fostered camaraderie and friendship, leaving everyone with fond memories of the colorful festivities.
Valedictory Ceremony of Internship Programme on Digital Marketing on 23-01-23
Vidyadayini Institute of Science Management and Technology organized the valedictory ceremony for an internship training program. The program was started with the lamp lightning & Saraswati Vandana by dignitaries. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mr. D. Subodh Singh, Chairman, NRI Group of Institutions, Bhopal & Mr. Nishant Shukla, Director of Cybrom Technology, Bhopal. The guests were given floral welcome by Dr. Anita Mishra, Principal NVISMT. This ceremony was hosted by Ms. Sarita Chouhan (HOD, Department of Commerce). All HODs, faculty members & students of B.COM, BCA, BSc & BA were present in this ceremony. This was an immensely exciting afternoon for our institute. The internship was a synergy of the youth creativity and talent quotient. It was rolled to test talent and mental ability, logical thinking & creativity. During this training program on Digital Marketing, students learned about various tools of digital marketing and employment opportunities in social media marketing industries. Mr. Nishant Shukla Director of Cybrom Technology emphasized the success and career opportunities in the field of digital marketing. He also explained the theoretical and practical aspects of digital marketing in his address. After the address, the students had an opportunity to listen to our very own principal VISMT. Principal Ma’am especially emphasizes that the actively growing participation of students from different departments this year, affirms the relevance and meaningfulness of this training program. All in all, it was a knowledge-filled event jelled with cerebral grilling and a creative palette. The ceremony ended with the vote of thanks of HOD, Department of Commerce. She added that it was not an ending but a new and better beginning.
“DNA extraction from different biological materials using the phenol-chloroform method”
VISMT (Department of Biotechnology) had organized a day workshop on DNA extraction from different biological materials using the phenol-chloroform method held on 09 January 2020. Dr. Deepak Bharti, Director of CMBR, Bhopal was invited as a speaker for this workshop. He demonstrated the method of DNA extraction from blood. He shared his real-life scenarios, practical cases, and his experiments.
Around 300 students from different fields participated in this workshop and were curious to see live DNA extraction from blood. Faculties were also present.

Blood Donation Camp
On 9th January 2020 NRI group of institutions, Vidyadayini Institute of Science, Management and Technology, Bhopal (VISMT), the principal, Head of Department, Faculties organized a “BLOOD DONATION CAMP” in the college premises. A team of doctors and nurses came for the collection of blood and to make others aware of the importance of blood donation. The activity of blood donation was started by faculties, students and thereafter other donors joined the event. A certificate of appreciation, donation card, and refreshment was given to each donor as gratitude. The overwhelming response was given by students, faculties and other staff.
