B.Sc. in X-Ray Technology is a degree course which is divided into semester wise. X-Ray Technology is a study of diagnostic and therapeutic radiography which involves treatment of diseases like cancer and tumours. Radiology is also known as Diagnostic Image i.e. series of different tests that catch a picture of internal parts of a body and detecting related issues which is a source of diseases. 

Course Detail

BSc. in X-Ray Technology is of 3 years divided into 6 semesters. Each semester lasts for 6 months giving required professional training to the students. Radiography is a subfield of medicine which deals with scanning internal body through X-Ray and making a report of diseases or ailment in a body. This course is offered in leading institutes across minor and major cities. The admission to this course depends on merit in 12th or entrance exam that could be conducted by the college itself.
In three years, of course, students will be introduced with the mechanism to use different radiology machines. They will be studying clinical radiotherapy, radiobiology, clinical trials, palliative care, clinical chemotherapy etc.

Job Opportunities

After doing B.Sc. in X-Ray therapy chances are that candidates can get a job in government and private hospitals, defence forces, educational institute and many other platforms.
Graduates who have done B.Sc. in X-Ray Technology successfully can pursue their higher studies like M.Sc., PhD or M.Phil. After doing higher studies graduates are eligible for academic posts such as lecturer in a private /government institute. Students get an initial salary of 1 .5 to 2.5 lakh P/A which gradually increase with the increase in the experience. 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. 
  • Candidates must have PCM/PCB as the subjects.
  • They must have scored minimum 50%.
  • Percentage relaxation is given to category candidates.
