Technische Sicherheit
Faculty and students of the EC Department at NIIST have made significant contributions to research in the field of deep learning and cybersecurity. Prof. Rajeev Kumar Thakur (HOD, EC Department), Mr. Santosh Dubey (Faculty), and Miss Ruby Tiwari (Student) collaboratively published their research paper titled “An Efficient Deep Learning Technique for Spam Prediction on IoT Smart Home Device Environment” in Technische Sicherheit, a renowned technical security journal, on July 7, 2024. They also received certificates in recognition of their achievement, showcasing their dedication to academic excellence and innovative research.

Faculty and students of the EC Department at NIIST have actively contributed to research and innovation. Prof. Rajeev Kumar Thakur (HOD, EC Department) presented his research paper titled “A Novel Triple U-Slot Microstrip Patch Antenna Design for Multiband Application” at an IEEE Conference held at MANIT Bhopal on February 24, 2024, receiving a certificate for his work. Additionally, Mr. Amardeep Kumar (Student) published his research paper, “An Efficient Deep Learning Technique for Spam Prediction on IoT Smart Home Device Environment,” in Technische Sicherheit, a reputed technical security journal, on July 7, 2024, and was also awarded a certificate. These achievements highlight the department’s commitment to academic excellence and cutting-edge research.
Faculty Development Program
Faculty members of the EC Department at NIIST have actively participated in AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) programs to enhance their academic and research expertise. Prof. Rajeev Kumar Thakur, Associate Professor, attended a one-week Faculty Development Program on “Technologies, Challenges, and Research Direction on 6G Wireless Communication Systems” from January 15, 2024, to January 20, 2024. Similarly, Mr. Santosh Dubey successfully completed the ATAL Academic Development Program on “3D Printing for Biomedical Applications: Shaping the Future of Healthcare in Industry 4.0,” held at NIT Kurukshetra from January 13, 2025, to January 18, 2025.

- Rahul Deo (2006-10), the student got selected in ISRO and 31 all India ranked in IES.
