About MCA

Those who have an inclination in software programming can opt MCA. It is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master’s Degree in computer science. The course is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology. It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree BCA. The MCA programme is inclined more toward Application Development and thus has more emphasis on latest programming language and tools to develop better and faster applications.

The demand is so high that NIIST provided the CSE graduates with excel knowledge of programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence, network security, database management system and many more recent fields of computer science which is required by an IT companies. Training and Placement cell of NIIST trained the students for preparing the campus drive interview through provide the mock interview session for pre final and final year students and conduct the training session for clearing competitive exams ex. GATE etc. so that they are confident and got placement from campus drives. Department conduct the training sessions and working on live projects for building the competency of subjects in our students.

Department of MCA, NIIST students are well placed in top multinational companies, some are selected by the PSU’s. Every year our placement is almost 100 percent through Training & placement cell or by clearing the competitive exams conducted by government bodies.

MCA

BCA / BSc   passed with science stream subjects (PCM) from a recognized University with minimum 45%  for Gen. category and 40% for OBC (except creamy layer) /SC/ST (Only M.P Domicile candidates)

MCA (Lateral entry)

BCA / BSc  Computer Science science stream subjects (PCM) from a recognized board with minimum from any recognized university, passed with minimum 45 percent marks for Gen. Category and 40% for OBC/SC/ST
