NRI Group of Institutions Organizes “Safe Click 2.0”

NRI Group of Institutions (NGI), Bhopal, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Police, State Cyber Cell, and Police Station Bagsewania, Zone-1, Bhopal, successfully organized the “Safe Click 2.0” Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign at the Seminar Hall, NRI Campus. The initiative aimed to educate students and the community about cyber threats, digital safety, and responsible online practices.

The event was graced by Shri Sanjay Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Dr. Vineet Kapoor, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Ms. Mini Shukla, IPS, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Additional DCP), Mr. D. Subodh Singh, Chairperson, NRI Group of Institutions, and Mr. Atul Raghave, CEO, NRI Group of Institutions. The dignitaries emphasized the importance of cyber security awareness and encouraged students to become responsible digital citizens.

Cybersecurity experts from the Madhya Pradesh State Cyber Police, Sub-Inspector (SI) Zeenat Qureshi and Mr. Ankit Nayak, delivered informative sessions on emerging cybercrimes, online frauds, cyber laws, social media safety, and best practices for protecting personal and financial information. Following the expert talk, Dr. Vineet Kapoor, IPS, conducted an interactive question-and-answer session with students, assessing their cybersecurity awareness and motivating them to remain vigilant in the digital world.

More than 400 students, faculty members, police officers, and staff members enthusiastically participated in the campaign. At the conclusion of the program, all participants took the Cybersecurity Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to practicing safe digital behavior and spreading cyber awareness throughout society.

During the event, Mr. D. Subodh Singh interacted with students and highlighted the growing importance of cyber security in today’s technology-driven world. Mr. Atul Raghave warmly welcomed all distinguished guests to the campus by presenting bouquets and eco-friendly saplings, symbolizing both hospitality and environmental responsibility.

The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Shivam Varshi, Head, Department of Cyber Security, NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology (NIIST), who expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, the Madhya Pradesh Police, the State Cyber Cell, Police Station Bagsewania, faculty members, students, and the organizing team for making the event a grand success.

The “Safe Click 2.0” Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign reflects the NRI Group of Institutions’ continued commitment to promoting cybersecurity awareness, digital responsibility, and community engagement through meaningful collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
