The transformer is probably one of the most useful electrical devices ever invented. It can raise or lower the voltage or current in an ac circuit, it can isolate circuits from each other, and it can increase or decrease the apparent value of a capacitor, an inductor, or a resistor. Furthermore, the transformer enables us to transmit electrical energy over great distances and to distribute it safely in factories and homes. Transformers are extensively used in electric power systems to transfer power by electromagnetic induction between circuits at the same frequency, usually with changed values of voltage and current. Power factor testing is an effective method to detect and help isolate conditions such as moisture, carbonization, and contamination in bushings, windings, and liquid insulation. In addition to power factor testing, transformer excitation current measurements will help detect winding and core problems.

The energy sector around the world is facing increasing difficulties due to increased energy requirement, efficiency, changes in demand & supply design & be short of analysis necessary for best possible administration. These difficulties are greatest in growing markets. This makes the electrical network multipart, highly stressed & therefore subject to subsequent failures. The efficiency problems are mainly problematical because the proliferation of informal grid connections means that a large amount of electricity is not metered or billed, leading to losses and increased CO2 emissions. Traditional methods of solving network design, problems of scheduling, processing & managing have been widely designed for various supplications, however, these techniques suffer from various complexities because of the need for inferred existence, provision of non-optimal solutions, etc

INDUSTRIAL VISIT (ADVANCED MATERIAL AND PROCESS RESEARCH INSTITUTE, AMPRI ), BHOPAL ON 27/9/2019.
Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal was instituted in May 1981 as “Regional Research Laboratory” (RRL) and officially started functioning from CSIR, New Delhi. The institute was then shifted to Bhopal and was located in the then Bhopal (now Barkatullah) University campus. It subsequently found a place in the present premises in December 1983; the premise which was originally built to accommodate a Cooperative Training College. The laboratory initially had about 15 scientists, with 10 of them specializing in metallurgy/materials science. This was the core strength of the institute at that time.

Omega Renk Bearings Pvt. Ltd.(ORB), a leading manufacturer of white metal lined sleeve bearings, and generate Green Power Generation through their Solar Power Plant, the first of its kind in India to be cleared for direct feeding into the 33KV grid of the M.P. Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd. The Panels would be inaugurated on December 16 at Khajuri Khurd, Raisen Road, Bhopal. Omega Renk Bearings Pvt Ltd., a sub-supplier and partner of RENK AG, Werk Hannover, Germany entered into Solar Energy Production with 2 Solar Panels.
