The Best practice by the Institute is to groom the overall personality of the candidates from second year onwards and conducted by Training and placement department. This is also known as CRT. A “College to Corporate training is a soft skills program that helps students transition smoothly into corporate life. This session gives tips to students on how to become efficient through learning the basics of Corporate communication ,managing time, mind set Critical thinking that is required when moving from a college to a a corporate environment .
This includes:
- Managing Time, Planning and Prioritization .
- Critical thinking, Verbal and Nonverbal Skills.
- Communication Skills through interactive session
- Group Discussion and Team Building Skills
- Etiquette and Interview Skills English Proficiency
1)Test: English is the proficient professional and business language and wide range of technological books are available in it. So it is necessary to provide the support to the large number of engineering students who are coming with vernacular language. Every year English professions test is take for the students and detail Analysis is prepared for improvement. Students are guided for reading, listening speaking and writing skills.
2) Aptitude test: A Pre final and final year go for online aptitude test which is conducted at starting of 5 and 7th semester. After assessment List get prepared for various sections like: logical reasoning, mathematics and verbal analysis. This provides the idea about how to crack the non technical test in recruitment process.
3) Critical thinking skills are learned and sharpened over time, helping students to make better decisions, process information more effectively and express yourself more clearly. By honing your critical thinking abilities, they can give themselves a boost in both y personal and professional lives.
4)Group discussion tournament: Many skills like Team work critical thinking, listening skills, confidence, capability to co-ordinate, Knowledge potential, on verbal , IQ test, reasoning ability etc are associated with Group discussion. This is the only reason why Group discussion is included in recruitment process by many companies. A session on How to do Group discussion is organized which is followed by Group discussion tournament on the latest topics.
5) Etiquette and Interview skills turn up to their interview with the attitude that they’re going to win them over, and train them not to forget about these important tips. Keep your head up good posture and eye contact are a must. Typical mock interview is a practice job interview held with a professional career counselor. A mock interview helps you learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve your communication skills, and reduce your stress before an actual job interview.
6) Communication skills : students of Engineering colleges require an ever-increasing range of skills to maintain relevance with the global environment of the new millennium. Communication skills are a vital component of this, recognized by academia and industry alike. Indeed, communication skills are considered a salient element in the make-up of the new global engineer. Since professional and result oriented companies always seek for the employees who can communicate persuasively and effectively. Communication skills were cited as the single most important decisive factor in choosing managers. A lack of sufficient communication skills serves only to be disqualified in the placement interviews. The best thing is that we keep all the sessions interactive. SECURITY AND VIGILANCE
The campus is under constant vigilance towards its environment that includes its own serenity along with forbidding any kind of malpractice, abuse of verbal & non-verbal (drug, tobacco & alcohol) entities.
Exclusive parking zones for the buses and visitors outside the campus is demarcated in order to ensure complete safe zone inside the campus for students. Apart from this traffic responsibility and discipline is constantly inculcated amongst our students by making them wear helmets & seat belts mandatorily.
Security is our first priority. Hence, the NRI campus is under 24×7 CCTV surveillance along with security guards at entrance, hostel and various individual colleges of the group working in shifts. They ensure security and safety of all the inmates as well as the property of NRI GROUP.
ACTIVITIES ON CAMPUS
The day at the campus starts with complete positivity; prayer and patriotism fill the spirits of each and everyone gathered in the dawn of session through morning assembly. As every morning assembly witnesses PRAYER, NATIONAL ANTHEM and it concludes with the ““Thought of the Day”, this persuades everyone with positive vibes.
Followed by the morning assembly, all the Departmental Heads conduct a round table conference, in which discussions and decisions for smooth conduction of academic, non-academic, cultural, professional, etc., activities on daily basis is imparted.
Being a nurturing Technical college since last 20 years, NRI has adopted to various eco-friendly techniques “on-campus”, viz., RAIN WATER HARVESTING – through which ground water table is being constantly recharged, A MINI SEWAGE TREATMENT plant near the canal flowing through THE NRI CAMPUS. The STUDENTS and FACULTIES of NRI ENGINEERED A “NON-POLLUTING – BATTERY OPERATED VEHICLE”, that is highly efficient in intra – campus commuting.NRI CAMPUS is not only an institute but also a “HOME AWAY FROM HOME”, for students who are not Day Scholars of the institute. A congenial and hygienic hostel facility is available for boys and girls separately. Even the faculties have an option of in-campus residence with all amenities by following “NO-RENT” policy, for a lively and secured campus accommodation.

The team spirit amongst the staff, faculties and students is constantly developed by the regular organization of “SPORTS MEET” – two days event is a regular feature at NRI campus.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE AT CAMPUS
“Healthy Mind and Healthy Body” – is the principle priority of NRI…. For which, it ensures good health of staff, faculties and students. This is constantly monitored by college administrative department by providing good working environment, hygienic surroundings. Added to it, students and staff can enjoy the green campus along with nutritious juices, eatables like sprouts, salads, food, etc at reasonable price from the AROGYA KENDRA of NRI CAMPUS.
Learning encaptures brain….but body captures brain, knowing the importance of it…our campus encourages all sorts of physical activities to enhance the muscle power, which retains the potential to increase mind-power along with capacity build –up for work power. Hence, physical activities like Basketball, cricket, football and equipped gymnasium are the povisions that are utilized by staff and students equally. Thus, the “ TEACHER-TAUGHT” would work together with extreme potential towards innovation.
For the overall relaxation after an exhausting day long activites students can dive into the well-maintained, hygienic swimming pool – another striking feature of NRI campus.
As a reputed institute of INDIA, NRI GROUP too follows the mission “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, by deputing supporting staff meant exclusively for it. HOSTEL AND MESS FACILITY

A mess facility is available at the hostel campus with a capacity to serve 500 students at a stretch, it serves nutritious food to the hostel students. Though being a hostel mess, staff too can avail the facility at nominal price.
The mess is under the control and vigilance of NRI administration for ensuring quality, hygiene and constancy in food supply. It is a multi-cuisine dining place, where you relish the taste of the food in full relaxation.
All the raw materials like vegetables, dairy and groceries utilized are of high quality, which is monitored by NRI administration. We don’t compromise with quality, for which regular and random inspections are conducted to ensure hygiene and quality of food served in the mess.
