Welcome to the Department of Science at Vidhyadayani Institute of Science, Management and Technology (VISMT), NRI Group of Institute, Bhopal. The Department of Science at VISMT was established in 2009. The department provides diverse opportunity for students to choose any field of science that include Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science. The vision of our Department implies ‘Empowering the young minds and Striving for Excellence in Holistic Education’. We strive to maintain the highest standards of academic rigor, ensuring that our students receive a comprehensive and up-to-date education in the diverse disciplines of science.
There are 30 seats for each discipline of Science. The Department of Science strictly follows the curriculum of NEP 2020. The Department of Science is dedicated to fostering a dynamic learning environment that cultivates curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation. We are committed to provide quality education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
The integration of Science with Biology, chemistry, physics and computer with their multidisciplinary approach will aid in developing innovative products and contribute a significant impact. The field of Biotechnology and Microbiology play crucial roles in addressing global challenges related to health, food security, environmental sustainability, genetic modified crops, biofuels and life-saving drugs. This emerging field has vast scope and impacts human life, from healthcare to agriculture and beyond. Graduates can work in fields such as: Pharmaceutical Companies, Biotechnology Research and Development, Agricultural Biotechnology, Food and Beverage Industry, Environmental Monitoring and Remediation, Medical Diagnostics and Testing, Biomanufacturing and Quality Control and many more. A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science is a versatile degree that provides a strong foundation in computer science principles and practices. Specializations in web development, mobile app development, enterprise software development, Computer Programmer, Data Science and Analytics and Cybersecurity. The demand for computer science professionals is consistently high across industries, and individuals with a B.Sc in Computer Science can find opportunities in both the private and public sectors especially in current scope in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
