• Set in the heart of the Bhopal educational zone, Bhopal, NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology (NIIST) is seemingly a run-of-the-mill engineering college in Bhopal. It’s a place where ideas get constructed – literally. With Civil Engineering being one of the major engineering areas in NIIST, the campus has something unique. 

• In this department, one does not merely study the floor plans and formulas of civil engineering; rather, one gets immersed in how the world stands, moves, and evolves. The students from the first semester are driven towards a practical and empirical way of learning how structures behave, how to conduct basic surveys or how concrete can be controlled in a cost-efficient manner, and a lot more.

• This department balances academics and fieldwork seamlessly. For example, students can be preparing a site plan today, only to work with a simulator on a computer tomorrow. The labs are well-equipped, but the most valuable asset is the wisdom teachers are willing to share; teachers who have heavy practical experience ensure that students gain hands-on knowledge in the classroom.
