MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the Most productive departments of NRI Institute of Research & Technology (NIRT), Bhopal (MP) India. The department is associated with professional bodies such as EICHER Tractor  Prema solution for CAD, under which various activities are taking place.

The department also conducts various certification courses in advanced technologies such as CAD / CAM, CNC, in association with reputed professional training institutes and within the institute’s own facilities. The department has state of art laboratories and infrastructures. Various Funded Research Projects and Consultancy projects are also taken up. Students of the department are actively involved in various extracurricular activities and extension activities. Students from the department have developed Indigenous Electric Vehicle, a refrigeration test rig with computer control, and also developed other projects of the national interest.

Vision

The vision of the Mechanical Engineering Department is that through the excellence of its people, the Department of Mechanical Engineering will be recognized as a leader of its discipline in a manner that exemplifies the traditions of learning, discovery, and engagement. The department will be a desirable place to study and work, with our community comprising the best and the brightest, because of educational programs grounded in the mechanical engineering sciences and set within the context of meeting important societal needs.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering has three tenets that center on the principle of improving lives and livelihoods: to share knowledge through educational programs and the dissemination of beyond-syllabus ideas, to create knowledge through research in the science and technology of mechanical engineering, and to develop the professional potential of faculty, staff, and students.
