On the occasion of the Kite Festival & Makar Sankranti, our NIRT College Celebrated the Makar Sankranti and flew a kite. Makar Sankranti is one of the most auspicious and vibrant festivals celebrated across India, marking the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign of Capricorn (Makara). It signifies the end of the winter solstice and the beginning of longer days, symbolizing light, knowledge, and spiritual growth. One of the most exciting and widely recognized traditions associated with Makar Sankranti is the Kite Festival. The skies come alive with colorful kites of all shapes and sizes as people of all ages take to rooftops and open grounds to participate in friendly kite-flying competitions.
