After a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), pharmaceutical sales is one of the best career choices, especially in super-specialities like Oncology (Cancer management). The oncology segment is one of the growing and developing segments, as the potential is still known how broad this segment is.

There is continuous research going on in cancer cure as well as treatment. Numerous molecules and different formulations are coming into the market. So in terms of learning, it is one of the best fields where you see for yourself the research, developments and execution of the new molecule and formulation in the market and Medical institutions.

In the oncology segment, you have to maintain relationships with KOL (Key Opinion Leader)

This field works on complete science as cancer disease is one of the diseases that accumulates different other diseases as well. So this segment required both care and management of cancer patients. Incentives in this field are significantly higher due to the premium nature of products and the relatively low competition as compared to the general division. This super speciality segment required experience as well as knowledge because cancer cases in India would increase rise of 57.5 per cent in 2040 from 2020, and the reason behind this increase in cases is bad habits, polluted environment and poor diet, including lack of physical activity.

The entry level for this segment will be the medical representative, and after 2-4 years of experience,e promoted to area business manager, and after 2-6 years of experience as ABM promoted to regional business manager and zonal business manager and so on. Pharmaceutical sales, especially in the super-speciality segment like Oncology, is a top career choice after B.Pharm. Oncology is a rapidly growing field with ongoing research, new molecules, and innovative treatments entering the market each year. It offers great learning and exposure, as professionals work closely with specialist doctors (KOLs) and handle high-value, science-driven products.
