PLANTATION REPORT OF NIN COLLEGE OF NURSING

The NIN College of nursing has a long-standing tradition of preservation of culture, heritage, and flora & flauna. In order to sensitize students towards the need to preserve our environment & Ecology, tree plantation drives are organized in the college from time to time. Protecting our environment is the need of an hour, Students brought 45 different types of saplings and planted them within the campus.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION REPORT IN COLLEGE

International Women’s day which was observed on 8th March celebrated with great pomp and ceremony in the college. Women’s day is celebrated on the theme” Gender Equality”.The chief guest was offered a floral welcome. The inaugural note was delivered by Principal Ancy Laby by highlighting her achievements in the field of education. Our Chief guest accented to the importance of this day by emphasizing that women like no other species possess such a plethora of attributes. On this occasion, there were various events of celebrations and deliberations performed by the students of the college. The  Programme was concluded by cake cutting by our Chief guest and principal and vice-principal who focused on “Being a woman is the best way of being in the world.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION REPORT IN HOSPITAL SETTINGS

Women’s day celebration empowered in a hospital setting of Indian Redcross Hospital, Siddhanth Hospital, Rainbow hospital, and Asha-Niketan Hospital. The students are given their contribution to the health sectors of women by educating them about the important different health issues women face. The topic was Breast self-examination, Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Diet during pregnancy, Maternal and child health care, Heart Disease in women, Healthy diet for women, Menstruation Vs Menopause, and Osteoporosis.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Orientation programme was held on 13/12/2021 at NIN College of Nursing

The programme started with a prayer song and Inauguration of the lamp which was done by Principal Mrs.Ancy laby and Vice-principal Jolly Jose and other respective departments heads. Welcome speech was given by Prof Dushyant and all other faculties gave warm welcome to the new students. They emphasized the value of education & orient students about the University rules and regulations as well as the vision and mission of NRI College of Nursing. The student was also oriented to the syllabus and the related curricular activities. The student was shown various departments and Labs like  Fundamental lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Lab, Paediatric Lab /OBG lab, A.V aid lab, and computer room. Students were also oriented and given information about the mentorship program. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr.Narayan Singh where he stated on professionalism code of conduct in the nursing profession. In the end, the students were properly oriented with the facilities provided by the University Orientation of the syllabus, examination criteria, rules & regulations of the college, and dressing code.

FRESHERS PARTY

A time immemorial tradition of NRI college is to welcome their first-year undergraduate with a fresher’s party. It is a sincere and loving attempt of seniors to motivate their juniors and assure them that they have a home away from home. A Fresher’s party for B.Sc.(N) I year and GNM I year batch 2021-22 was organized by their senior batch on 30th Dec.2021in the auditorium.

The occasion was graced by Principal  Ancy laby and the heads of various departments. Ancy mam told me the importance of sincerity, hard work, and perseverance in college life. He also emphasized the mutual trust and affection between the seniors of juniors.

Pulsating ambiance flashing lights & foot-tapping music marked the day. The for could be seen on the faces of the students as the performances graced the stage. The faculties gave blessings to the newcomers. The fresher party gave room to the newcomers to build a rapport with their batchmates, seniors & faculty and become part of the NRI family. The following students were chosen as Mr. fresher Vijay Gautam & Miss Fresher Ku. Anjali kumari B.sc (N) student &Mr. fresher. The function coos followed by lurch and group photographs.                            

CHRISTMAS

This year on 22/12/2021 one college has organized a program to celebrate Christmas. The ceremony was held on our college premises. The entire premises was beautifully decorated with lights, crib, Christmas tree, flowers, and Jingle bells. The ceremony began with prayer at 9:00 am The students of B.sc (N) & GNM presented a beautiful play on them of Christmas. After that, a man disguised as Santa Claus comes with a bag containing several gifts. Santa Claus was roaming all over the auditorium giving presents to all the students. Prof. JollyJose vice-principal gave a detailed speech on why we celebrate Christmas. Along with this, the principal and vice-principal &Directors of other respective departments joined together for the cake cutting on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.

REPUBLIC DAY

NRI College of Nursing celebrated Republic day on 26th Jan 2022. Mr. R. S. Gautam chief guest of NRI college addresses the faculty and students regarding the importance of democracy and working together as a team. Student from B.sc.Nursing &GNM Nursing sang a patriotic song on the occasion. To enhance the patriotism among the students, patriotic songs, dances, skits, poems were also organized. The sweets were distributed at the end of the program. Republic day in NRI College of nursing was celebrated with great enthusiasm.

BLACK DAY

14 Feb of 2019 is the date that become a black day for Indians while the entire world celebrating the day with their loved ones.NRI College of Nursing paid homage to the martyred in the Pulwama attack. The B.sc Nursing student and GNM student and all faculties recall our martyrs for their outstanding service to our nation.
