- Planning -: The planning of the session starts in November which begins in December and is planned for 45 weeks. Academic calendar, Clinical rotation Planning (CRP), coordinators of each course year-wise, Subject In-charges and Lab In-charges are discussed and assigned among the faculty members. The academic calendar gives a clear-cut image for the distribution of the month, 45 weeks, date of each week, and hours in each week, working days, theory hours, and practical hours. It also plans term examination dates, vacations, preparatory leaves and university exams. A clinical rotation plan (CRP) tells about the week, working days, practical hours and area of clinical posting. The class coordinators prepare course plans. The Subject in charge does workload distribution and plans units. Lesson plans are prepared individually by the teachers working in the classroom.
- Delivery -: Student-centric methods are adopted to enhance learning experiences by integrated inter-disciplinary/interdepartmental learning, role play, panel discussion, seminar, symposium and quiz programmes. Students are guided by the mentor-mentee system for their good growth. Work Book (Course content file) of Faculty maintained in each classroom to monitor the regularity of the classes and the punctuality of the teacher in handling the class. The academic coordinator assesses the timetable and completion of the syllabus in time and revises it in the Academic meeting. Conduct the Academic meeting at each end of the month and discuss the weak points of students, students’ learning problems, teacher-student relationships, and innovations for student development, also conduct PTM after the term examination or Pre-University examinations.
- Evaluation -: BMLT, BXRT & DMLT students are evaluated in 200 marks 100 Internal and 100 University exams in theory paper. Evaluation is done by 1 term examination and 1 Pre-university examination in 50 and assignments are given in different topics is evaluated in 50. All the internal examinations and assignments are evaluated in 100 marks as Internal Examination and University examination of 100 marks. The BPTh and MMLT Students are evaluated in 100 marks, 30 marks internal and 70 marks University exam in theory paper. The conduct and evaluation are looked over by examination coordinators and reviewed in academic meetings. After the completion of each unit of the subject, conduct the unit test and also evaluate the student’s progress. Clinical attendance is 100% and theory 75% is compulsory to appear in the university examination. Make Clinical Duty planned in a vacation if attendance is short. Remedial classes are arranged in case of lower marks in unit tests and then re-examination is arranged for those students.
- Research, Innovations and Extension -: The NRI Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences (NINPS) is engaged in research, innovations and extension activities constructively through the Research Ethical Committee. There are 4 departments namely the Department of Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology and Histology actively engaged in research activities. In partial fulfillment of MMLT, a total of 23 MMLT scholars have completed their research projects so far. Two of our faculty members are recognized as guides for PG students. All the PG faculty members are encouraged to pursue a PhD Programme. The college faculty had published papers in various international and national journals. The college is using its plagiarism check software Turnitin.
- Student Support and Progression -: College endeavors to reflect its vision and mission through various programs carried out under student support and progression. Approximately 90% of eligible students are getting scholarships from government agencies. The college conducts an entrepreneurship program every year. A transparent mechanism is maintained to prevent sexual harassment and to address the grievances of the students swiftly by the Grievance Redressal Committee and Anti sexual harassment complaint committee. An Anti-ragging Committee has been constituted in the College and as a part of the anti-ragging awareness program the institute organizes guest lectures and shows short films/videos downloaded from the UGC websites. The menace of ragging is perceived seriously and the anti-ragging committee executes strict measures to curb the ragging within the campus.
