The pronounced objective of the department is to make students aware of importance of ethnomedicinal plants and procure a channel to introduce more herbs and plants to active medicinal system. Department is having a major priority of planting trees in surrounding area. In front of institution more than 100 rare plants along with different species are up right to cleanse the air. Quality research in the herbal drug is the back bone of Pharmacognosy department.

Pharmacognosy is a subject that included in 4 years of B. Pharm :-

  • Evaluation, quality control and standardization of herbal drugs extracts.
  • Herbal formulation development and their evaluation.
  • Ethnobotanical survey, identification/ Documentation.
  • Analytical/Bioanalytical Method development of herbal drugs/formulationequired
