Pharmacist Week Celebration @ NIPS


A two day pharmacy week was celebrated in NRI Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in order to explore the hidden talent of young pharmacist. The Pharmacy Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.


The following events had been organized as a part of celebration:


Sports Competition: Various Sports Completions like Lemon Race, Badminton, Chess, and Carom were organized on the first day of celebration.

 Quiz Competition: In quiz competition, it was attempted to test the knowledge of students about Pharmacy. The winning team comprised of Ravi Pratap, Prabha, Neha and Lavkush who had crossed all the three levels of Quiz competition successfully


Debate Competition:  A debate competition on topic “Is human responsible for Uttarakhand Tragedy” was organized, in which students participated enthusiastically by keeping their views about the theme. Ravi Pratap and Shilpa Jha was the winner of this event


Rangoli Competition: Students have presented the theme in a colorful way by a Rangoli competition. Aakansha Kushwaha and Ramdas Sahu was the winner of this event.


Poster Presentation: Students expressed their ideas in a creative way through various posters. Simple explanatory posters conveyed various messages were displayed. Rani Khan and Rahul Sahu was the winner of this event. In the ends, a series of colorful cultural events were organized including songs and dances. Everyone who was presented there, they had enjoyed these events. At the end, prizes were distributed among the winners.

World Health Day Celebration @ NIPS


On the occasion of World Health Day, to promote healthier living habits, Pharmacy Students of NRI Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhopal gave the message highlighting the serious and increasing threat of vector-borne diseases (VBDs), with the WHO’s slogan for year 2014 “Small bite, big threat”. Vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue have now become a global public health threat with more than half of the world`s population at risk from it. However, most of these diseases are preventable through informed protective measures. Pharmacy students of NIPS gave the message of protection from these diseases by making colorful ranogi. Rangolies were drawn with the message that mosquitoes are the best known disease vector, and using safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, disease control and elimination is possible. Students also prepared poster to create awareness for sanitation and for preventative measure to keep away mosquito. “Sab rogo ki ek dawai, Ghar mai rakho saf safai,” “If they breed, you will bleed” “Fight the Bite” were some of them.

Green Building Workshop

Workshop of “GREEN BUILDINGS” was organized by resource center in collaboration with  IIT Bombay.

The meaning of Green building is providing maximum comfort to the residents with minimum use of man –made energy. It means using natural resources to provide maximum comfort to the occupants. This can be achieved by proper orientation, maximum use of sunlight, ventilation by providing large windows, solar system and water harvesting. Green building should be oriented in such a manner so that we can take maximum use of sunlight & wind.


Traffic Awareness Seminar

NIIST Civil Department organized a seminar on “Traffic Awareness” On 06/04/2016. Police Department Officers S.P.(South), Addl. S.P. (Traffic), Addl. S. P. (MP Nagar & Govindpura), C.S.P. and Coordinator of Traffic Seminar delivered awareness and imparted Knowledge about Traffic Rules and Traffic Discipline to Faculties And Students of NRI Group of Institutions.

Industrial Visit of NIPS Students

NRI Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NIPS) organised an industrial visit to Park Benz laboratory Limited, Mandideep for the final and pre-final year students of B.Pharma. The students were exposed to the area planning, facilities, design, construction and manufacturing of sterile products. Plant head, Mr Rajkumar Kathal, addressed the students and provided valuable information regarding the plant. The members of faculty, Dr Mithun Bhowmick, Prof Sanjay Dhakar and Prof Rajmani Mafider accompanied the students on this visit. As a part of the visit, the students also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the HEPA filter, Sterility Unit, clean area, Controlled clean area, Clarity Apparatus, Pyrogen Test, Filling and packaging of parenteral products. Student found the visit of great academic interest. D Subodh Singh, Chairman NRI Group appreciated the efforts of the Principal Dr Jagdish Rathi for organising such visits where the students are provided a platform to correlate their theory with practical application in pharma manufacturing field.

On the eve of Independence day, the President addresses the nation in a televised speech. On Independence Day, the Prime Minister greets the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi. Independence Day is also a day to reflect on our country's current state and its achievement after it was freed from the British rule in 1947.
